?Gree Electric Appliances Inc of Zhuhai donated 1 million yuan ($140,000) to the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone to support rural vitalization on June 30.

The funds will be used for industrial development and infrastructure construction in the cooperation zone and its counterpart support regions, in response to the national strategy of rural vitalization.

Zhu Lei, market director of Gree, said that the company is aiming to fulfill its social welfare responsibilities. It is harnessing technological innovation to remove the bottlenecks hindering rural development.

Gree has explored a long-term assistance path with its industrial and technological advantage. From investing in factory construction and creating job opportunities, to applying technology to enhance agricultural production and improve efficiency, Gree has demonstrated the depth and warmth of its participation in rural vitalization.

Gree has developed advanced agricultural equipment to improve agricultural efficiency. For example, its fruit and vegetable preservation equipment can keep lychees fresh for 21 days, with a good fruit rate of 99.8 percent, significantly increasing farmers' incomes.

Gree has also supported the construction of rural schools and health clinics. In July 2024, it donated air conditioners to Zhongxin Primary School and the Second Middle School in Chishui via Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity and Public Welfare Foundation. In May 2025, it provided water purifiers to Jianzhitang Primary School, ensuring clean hot water access for teachers and students.
