The High-Quality Development Conference for the service industry of Xiangzhou district was held in Hong Kong on May 23.
The event aimed to capitalize on the strategic advantages of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, as well as the ongoing developments in the Qianshan River area, historical cultural district renovations, and “romantic economy” initiatives. Its objective was to facilitate the connection with the modern industrial system in order to drive high-quality and distinctive economic development within the district. This endeavor sought to establish connections with Hong Kong's commerce, tourism, and culture industries.
Attendance at the conference exceeded 50 enterprise representatives, who were presented with an overview of Xiangzhou's development prospects and investment opportunities. The event also provided detailed insights into the progress made in Qianshan River's “romantic economy” development, traditional district transformations, and modern service industry enhancements, all of which aimed to foster deeper industrial exchanges and collaborations between Hong Kong and Xiangzhou. Nine high-quality modern service projects were signed on-site during the event.
During the meeting, Liu Qiying, the head of the Xiangzhou district in Zhuhai, outlined Xiangzhou's resource endowment, investment environment, and the vast opportunities for Hong Kong businesses in the district's flourishing service sector. He highlighted the potential for extensive cooperation between the two regions. He also emphasized the close integration between Zhuhai and Hong Kong, Hong Kong's unparalleled advantage in the service industry, Xiangzhou's strategic location, and the bright prospects of its service industry.
